Yes so true! Jesus taught us to pray the “Lords prayer” at Matthew 6 :9,10. There he said for us to pray for his Fathers kingdom to come, for his will to be done as in heaven, also on the earth. Only God’s kingdom will fix all the injustice, suffering and pain we suffer which is a promise found at Revelation 21:3,4

Thank you for posting this, Michael. As a member of the law enforcement community, I can say that most of us deplore the behavior that caused the death. That being said, throwing bricks at police officers who had nothing to do with the death, is disgusting. We are not monsters, but human beings who abhor violence as well. I pray for healing in America.

Mark, it’s all so horrible … unimaginable … and when order breaks down so violently, there’s wonder if we’re even capable to reason and understand the issues are far deeper then systematic. Praying and forgiveness is a constant. Thank you for your service in law enforcement.

Thank you for this, Michael. Prayer truly is something this whole entire world needs right now, because we cannot continue fighting hate with hate… that very hate, in the end, will destroy us all.

You are so righty, Brandi. Hate begets Hate. Nothing more. We are born of Divine Love … how does it come to this?

Hate is a poison and, sadly, an alluring poison for some. It doesn’t seem harmful to those that choose to drink it, but once consumed it will not only destroy everything around them, but their own souls. There’s no winning when we fight hate with hate. Just a continuous cycle of pain and suffering. How does it come to this? That’s a question I have, too, Michael. These are truly some sad times. It seems like the clock is just going backwards and everything is going darker and darker.

I’ve always believed the “Culture of Hate” was taught and learned, embedded and enforced through generations of family and society, by fear and ignorance and prejudice.

I totally agree, Michael. I could not have said it better. Our environments and what we are taught become the foundation of so many things in our lives. If we are taught to hate, we will exhibit it. If we are taught to love, we will show it. Each is like a seed. If we water these teachings, they will grow.

How many haters have been abused, neglected or unloved? It may be impossible to have empathy and forgiveness in these moments, but without these elements of Humanity we are no better than the perpetrators of evil.

Exactly. We can teach by being the example and not the hinderance.

I was going to add a quote a love “Be what we wish to see in the world”. Your words remind me of that.

Thank you, Brandi … Isn’t it wonderful to awaken every day with the intention of being better, doing more … praying for forgiveness and with gratitude … we don’t always get it right, but intention just count for something in our journey 🙏

Yes it is! I always say strive to be better, not perfect. If we can just make those small steps we are paving a way for great change, not only for ourselves, but for the world around us.
You are very welcome, Michael! It’s always a pleasure talking to you and reading your beautiful words! 😊
